Arts & Culture Fund - Merseyside
A small grants programme offering
awards of up to £5,000 was launched in
November 2005, the result of a
partnership between Liverpool Centre
for Arts Development and the region’s
biggest community funder – the
Community Foundation for Merseyside.
Constituted groups set up for
charitable purposes can apply to
the ‘Arts and Culture Fund –
Merseyside’, which is financed by the
European Social Fund. LCAD are
offering help with project development
and the application process.
Application forms will be available
for the third round from the beginning
of November 2006. The deadline for
this round is Friday 21st April 2007.
“The fund exists specifically to
provide support to smaller voluntary
sector organisations that want to
participate in Liverpool’s European
Capital of Culture 2008 programme,”
said LCAD Director, Liz Lacey. “We’re
expecting a high level of
applications.”
Assessors will be looking for projects
that will bring added value to the
cultural and creative life of
Merseyside, whilst also helping give
people aged 16 plus improved skills,
confidence, self-esteem and improve
employability prospects.
Information packs are available direct
from Sue Loftus or Colette Casey on
